‘Digital painting could never become an alternative art practice because of its limitations..’

In digital blog : Bunch

Near about one year ago I joined Bunch to post my digital artworks, mainly those paintings which are digitally processed that I did few years back. Also I posted few questions to need some answers from others (bloggers) to continue a discussion on various topics. However, I ask you to visit that Blog.

One of my question was

“What happens if somebody wants to draw in Digital media instead of acrylic or oil?”

Sharing this question to few painters, they told me that digital painting could never become an alternative art practice because of its limitations. Well, it’s true, now my question is that

“If acrylic or oil are free of limitations and if it’s true, why are there so many art practices and experiments in new media that started after the hi-end technological explosion to search a new art language ?”

As far as I remember that few painters answered my question but now I don’t want to show the answers here before getting more, I would like to publish it later because this question is posted here. I just call everyone who wants to say something on this topic as usual.
